Smith Trades

Replaced a slow Wix site with a fast static build; bookings doubled in three months.

The brief ​

Smith Trades had a Wix site that took eight seconds to load on mobile and ranked nowhere on Google. They wanted bookings, not a brochure.

What we did ​

  • Migrated content to a VitePress static site
  • Rebuilt the booking flow as a single Netlify Form
  • Implemented technical SEO (sitemap, structured data, fast LCP)
  • Self-hosted fonts and inlined critical CSS

Outcome ​

  • LCP dropped from 8s to 0.9s on 4G
  • Lighthouse performance: 99
  • Booking enquiries: +103% in the first quarter
